Andrew and Jean worked together at an industry leading health and safety consultancy in the Legionella control team and consistently identified the same frustrations and limitations: paper logbooks, complex processes which became time consuming, inefficient and at times difficult to access and share evidence for auditing purposes
While some electronic platforms were available they were all too often limited in content, user experience or auditability.
We set out to build a digital Legionella control logbook and reporting suite that prioritises user experience without compromising on compliance with key guidance documents ACOP L8/HSG274 to enable teams to complete work on site, identify and resolve non‑compliances faster, and provide comprehensive and centrally accessible records for auditing at the click of a button.

Andrew has over 20 years' experience in Legionella management and control. As a senior member of the Water Management Society and educated to masters level Andrew has extensive experience in legionella risk assessment of numerous systems and sectors.
He is knowledgeable in sampling water systems for a range of parameters both routinely and diagnostically and has assisted a number of clients with improvement notices relating to Legionella control.
Holding many years' experience of client and staff management Andrew has attended and advised on local authority cooling tower inspections, sat on NHS Water Safety Groups, achieved and maintained membership of the Legionella Control Association (LCA), designed and delivered training courses on many water system types and produced Legionella management and control policies and written schemes of control.

Jean brings 15+ years' experience in Legionella control, having worked as a Senior Water Hygiene Consultant and former Water Management Society member before successfully transitioning into software engineering.
Drawing on deep industry expertise and a clear vision for digital transformation, he set out to create Legionella Logbook.
Driven by a passion for modern technologies and software craftsmanship, Jean excels at solving complex, real-world problems with deceptively simple and elegant solutions. He is dedicated to developing intuitive, beautifully engineered applications that place user experience and reliability at their core.
